Hotel Director NH Collection Antwerp Centre

My journey with Minor Hotels started in 2007 in NH Maastricht. Here I started as Desk Manager and after a year I grew to the position of Front Office Manager. In the years that followed, I had the opportunity to temporarily replace the Front Office Manager in one of our hotels in Belgium and I also assisted in the opening of NH Lyon.

In 2014 I was part of the implementation team for the new operational system for Minor Hotels (SAP). It was a great experience to do this for the different hotel teams and it gave me the opportunity to get to know our hotels and colleagues even better. In 2015 I became Hotel Director of a former NH hotel in London, where I worked with great pleasure for four years. For my next step I returned to Belgium as a Hotel Director to do the opening of NH Collection Antwerp Centre. I still enjoy working here every day.

Before I joined Minor Hotels, I had the opportunity to work for several other hotel chains. Through hard work and proving yourself/ putting yourself out there, you get many great opportunities to grow within this great hotel chain. Although we are part of a large Business Unit, the international working environment, and colleagues who all work towards the same goal make us feel like family.

The NH Collection brand is about that luxurious feel whilst providing extraordinary service and a memorable gastronomic experience for our guests. This is achieved by a successful team who want to go the extra mile together. A Collection Hotel is a hotel where the guest immediately feels at home.

For me, a successful team is a highly motivated and fun team, with a good team spirit. You are only as successful as your own team, that is why they are the most important thing to me. Without them I am nowhere. I therefore think it is important that everyone feels valued and appreciated at work.
